Môj názor:
Ostrava je na tom ešte slabšie ako Brno, každopádne vhodné na lietanie počas sezóny do turistických destinácií. Najčastejšie však budete mať možnosť letieť len s cestovnými kanceláriami.
Informácie o Ostrave
Ostrava je hlavné mesto moravskosliezskej oblasti a tretie najväčšie mesto Českej republiky, v minulosti známe ťažbou uhlia. Je odtiaľ na skok do Poľska i na Slovensko, no a vďaka letisku to nie je ďaleko ani do Prahy.
Keď tu máte v pláne stráviť trochu času, choďte sa pozrieť na miestny goticko-renesančný Sliezskoostravský hrad, ktorý pamätá 13. storočie minulého tisícročia. V jeho pivnici údajne väznili a mučili čarodejnice. Ak budete mať šťastie, zastihnete niektorý z festivalov, ktoré sa tu konajú.
Pod výstaviskom Černá louka sa nachádzajú staré pivnice, ktoré sú vraj príbytkom strašidiel. Je to turistická atrakcia pre mladých ale i starších s pripravenými zábavnými prvkami ako ľadová hala, chodba netopierov, jaskyňa trpaslíkov so Snehulienkou a iné.
Miestna zoologická záhrada, v ktorej má svoj domov viac než tristo druhov zvierat, ponúka v lete predstavenia sokoliarov s vycvičenými sokolmi. Keď sem zavítate v podvečer, využite možnosť večernej prehliadky, a ak ste tu v zime a nasnežilo tu, nezabudnite si vziať bežky!
Ak sa miestnych spýtate na ďalšie miestne zaujímavosti, určite vám spomenú Miniuni. Na veľkej ploche pri meste sa rozkladá park pod týmto názvom, na ktorom bolo postavených viac ako tridsať zmenšených makiet významných stavieb Európy, napríklad zmenšeninu Eiffelovej veže. Po vodnej trase tu premáva parník, dokonca je tu i špeciálna železnica.
Z pamiatok bude stáť za to návšteva miestnej katedrály Božského Spasiteľa či miestnych múzeí – odporúčame banícke múzeum. V letných horúcich mesiacoch dobre padne navštíviť prírodné kúpalisko v okolí Ostravy, ktoré je najväčším svojho druh v celých Čechách a jedným z najväčších v strednej Európe.
