admin Najväčší európsky nízkonákladový dopravca Ryanair oznámil na dnešnej tlačovej konferencii v Bratislave otvorenie dvoch nových pravidelných liniek z bratislavského letiska. Cestujúca verejnosť bude môcť už od 2. apríla navštíviť šikmú vežu v Pise alebo sa od 5. júna prechádzať po promenádach v španielskom prístavnom meste Alicante. Ponuka pravidelných spojení írskeho dopravcu z hlavného mesta Slovenska sa zvýši zo súčasných 11 na 13 liniek v 7 krajinách sveta.
Írsky nízkonákladový dopravca Ryanair, ktorý koncom minulého roka ohlásil otvorenie novej linky z Bratislavy do Bruselu – Charleroi, prichádza s ďalšou ponukou nových spojení z bratislavského letiska. Od 2. apríla tohto roku bude v piatok a v nedeľu spájať Bratislavu s toskánskym mestom Pisa. Novinkou je i linka do Alicante na španielskom pobreží Costa Blanca, ktorá bude od 5. júna dopravcom prevádzkovaná dvakrát do týždňa a to vo štvrtok a nedeľu.
Radek Zábranský, riaditeľ divízie obchodu a marketingu Letiska M. R. Štefánika: „Dnešné oznámenie o zavedení nových liniek spoločnosti Ryanair je predovšetkým dobrou správou pre cestujúcu verejnosť, pretože sa nepochybne jedná o turisticky atraktívne destinácie. Veríme preto, že počet ponúknutých letov do týchto destinácií v krátkej dobe vzrastie. Jedná sa však samozrejme o atraktívnu správu aj pre samotné bratislavské letisko. Odhadovaný počet prepravených cestujúcich do týchto destinácií (približne 60-tisíc za prvý rok prevádzky) síce nemôže úplne nahradiť úbytok, s ktorým sme na tento rok nútení rátať zo známych dôvodov, ale i tak nepochybne prispeje k tomu, aby sa pokles počtu cestujúcich v tomto roku udržal na najnižšej možnej úrovni.“
Anja Seugling, manažérka pre obchod a marketing leteckej spoločnosti Ryanair dodáva: „Sme veľmi radi, že môžeme ohlásiť dve nové linky z Bratislavy do Španielska a Talianska, ktoré svedčia o ďalšej expanzii našej spoločnosti na bratislavskom letisku. Tri nové linky, vrátane Bruselu – Charleroi, ktorej otvorenie bolo ohlásené ešte v novembri uplynulého roka, určite zatraktívnia ponuku spojení z Letiska Bratislava a ponúknu cestujúcim nové možnosti s garanciou najnižších cien. Sme presvedčení, že tak ako Alicante aj Pisa sú skvelou voľbou pre oblasť Bratislava-Viedeň. Veríme, že letenky sa budú rýchlo predávať, nakoľko obe destinácie doteraz nefigurovali na mape destinácií či už bratislavského alebo viedenského letiska a preto budú lákadlom pre mnoho nových cestujúcich.“
Na oslavu otvorenia nových spojení z bratislavského letiska ponúka Ryanair 75%-nú zľavu na lety vo februári a marci, pričom akcia platí od dnes do polnoci 2. februára. Letenky do Pisy, Alicante či do ďalších destinácií, ktoré Ryanair ponúka z bratislavského letiska, si cestujúci môžu zakúpiť prostredníctvom web stránky www.ryanair.com, kde získajú ďalšie podrobnosti ohľadom akciovej ponuky dopravcu.
Letisko M. R. Štefánika – Airport Bratislava, a. s. je najväčším medzinárodným letiskom Slovenskej republiky. Je pomenované na počesť významného slovenského politika, vedca a diplomata – generála Milana Rastislava Štefánika. História letiska siaha až do roku 1946. Prudký nárast cestujúcich zaznamenalo letisko najmä v rokoch 2004 – 2006, kedy ich počet medziročne rástol v priemere o 60%. V roku 2008 prešlo bránami letiska rekordných 2 218 545 pasažierov, čo predstavuje medziročný nárast o 10%.
Letisko Bratislava má významnú polohu v stredoeurópskom regióne a v zimnej sezóne ponúka pravidelné letecké spojenie do 20 destinácií.

Ryanair je najväčším európskym nízkonákladovým dopravcom s 31 bázami a 822 linkami naprieč 26 krajín sveta spájajúcim 144 destinácií. Do konca marca tohto roku bude Ryanair prevádzkovať flotilu 195 nových Boeingov typu 737-800 s objednávkou na ďalších 70 lietadiel, ktoré budú doručené v priebehu nasledujúcich 4 rokov. Ryanair v súčasnosti zamestnáva viac ako 6 000 zamestnancov a v roku 2009 plánuje na svojich pravidelných linkách prepraviť približne 67 miliónov cestujúcich.
